Description
The website www.cambodiaatlas.com has been created to provide civil society, government institutions, development partners and the public at large with information on the state of the environment and natural resources in Cambodia and related social and economic issues. Data is based on data collected during the programme period from a number of the Danida funded projects during 2001-2006. The data, which is presented in the form of interactive maps -the interface to the user – could also, serve as a "baseline" for the new Danida/DFID supported Natural Resource Management and Livelihoods (NRM&L) Programme 2006-2010. The www.cambodiaatlas.com website has been funded and developed on the basis of Danida’s support to Save Cambodia Wildlife – Atlas of Cambodia - with the purpose of bringing the data and GIS data layers of the Atlas to the public domain. Important and critical assistance, support and initiatives have been provided by Mr. Tep Bonny ,Director, Save Cambodia WildLife, Mr. Chris Brown Aruna Technology and Mr. Ignas Dümmer, Danida Senior Adviser to CDC and CDC being the NRE Programme Partner.

Description
The Road Information Management Centre (RIMC) at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Cambodia has gathered a significant amount of data on the Cambodia road network. Most of this data is stored in a Road Management Decision Support system (RMDS), comprising databases and software tools for data management, reporting and analysis. The main purpose for the development of a web mapping application is to make some of these maps and documents available to the general public. Data in the RMDS is periodically updated so was also a requirement for a system whereby map updates can be relatively easily produced and published to the web. MangoMap was chosen for this application as it was cost effective to setup and maintain and does not require a significant IT infrastructure investment. See the site at www.lrcs.info

Description
The Khammouane MapServer is an online GIS database that provides a number of base maps with relevant information for users such as an elevation map, topographic map, satellite map, soil map, land use map, forest cover change map, population density map and agricultural potential map. Users can observe the information at different scales ranging from the entire provinces, district level, sub-district level and village levels. The site is a valuable resource to a wide range of stakeholders working on the formulation and execution of the Khammouane Development Strategy (KDS).

First Chinese Language Mango Application Launched!
The “Xuyong Atlas” MangoMap application has been successfully launched to support the Poor Rural Communities Development Project (PRCDP) in Sichuan Province, China. This web-based mapping system provides a land cover, infrastructure and village basemap for Xuyong County linked to the project investments for the PRCDP.
Positive Response at Map Asia 2007 in Kuala Lumpur
The Mango Team received a positive response to the latest version of MangoMap at Map Asia 2007. “People seemed to like our fresh, clean design and ease of use appealing to both people browsing maps for fun through to decision makers”, said head of Internet Development, Christopher Brown.
